Copeg Epoc Cards For The Next Poker Night

When Copag EPOC cards first hit the market they caused a real storm. A mixture of form and function, with a stylish and somewhat unorthodox design combined with the functionality of 100% plastic. Still today they remain a favourite among card collectors and almost any serious poker or bridge player has a set in their collection. What makes EPOCs so popular?

If you are not familiar, Copag EPOC cards are black rather than the usual white, and are designed by Brazilian artist Leonor Decourt. If you are looking for something with a touch of class to bring to your next poker night you could not possibly go wrong with these. They look far more expensive than they actually are (as set will cost you no more than 20 bucks, sometimes less) and they are not just a gimmick - they are well made and will last you a long time provided they are properly looked after and not abused.

The set I have at home are a poker sized set bought from an online poker site a few years ago (sorry the name escapes me). Even then they were $16. On EBay they are cheaper still and if you find them being auctioned you could get a bargain.

All in all I'd definitely recommend them. Copags are not KEM's or Modianos (both are more expensive too), but they are still very good and pound for pound arguably the best cards on the market today.
