Joe Hachman – The 2005 WSOP Champion

Joe Hachman, WSOP Champion in 2005 was born in Lebanon. He was born in 1966. In 1972, he and his family moved to Melbourne and are now settled in Australia. He is married and father of four children. His hobbies include watching movies, playing golf and love to have a nice meal in a good restaurant. He likes to spend most of his time with the family. He has got 13 years of experience in chiropractic practise. He stopped the practise later as he suffered some problems because of which he could not use his hands for the job. Then he started concentrating in poker and was successful in the poker field. His total earnings from poker till 2009 is around $10,725,000.

He has won a World Series of poker bracelet and 10 World Series of poker cashes. This is indeed a great achievement for a poker player. In poker he is known by the name Joe Hachem. He plays mainly in Melbourne and in Pocketstars online.  After winning the 2005 WSOP tournament, he was busy travelling all around the world to participate in major poker championships.

The best moment in Joe Hachem’s poker career is his final hand in 2005 World Series poker. One difference between the previous two winners and Hackman is that the previous two winners were internet qualifiers and Hackman was not.  However he also represented the Pokerstars like them. In 2006, he could not defend his world series title as he managed to finish second in the $2,500 short handed no limit hold them event. He finished at 238th position in the WSOP main event, 2006. But he gained $42,882 from this event, which is a good amount.

He also gained good amount of money from other poker tournaments like EPT $10,000 Monte Carlo Grand Final, Poker After Dark ‘WSOP Champions II, WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic and WPT Gold Strike World Poker Open. He is ranked 5th in terms of earnings from the poker tournaments. He also participated in Poker Superstars 3 tournament, but unfortunately he missed the final 16 group by a single point. He defeated many of the major names in poker, which include Jamie Gold, Johnny Chan, Greg Raymer and many more. In World Poker Tour (WPT), he has one title, one final table and 3 money finishes to his name.
