Fast Games, Lots of Hands, Lots of players. Rule number one when playing poker is always remember you do not have to play all the hands. One of the biggest problem with new players to poker is they "want to play". If for any reason you think you have not got the best hand fold and retain your chips for another better time to take the pot.
Most favorite position for any poker player is to the right of the dealer chip. Your advantage in this situation you get the read all the players, see there bets and raises and tells before you have placed any amount in the pot.
When going to make a bet or raise while playing poker examine your table, take into account the size of the pot, the number of chips your opponent has, if tempting to go all-in is my hand unbeatable. How much can I take from the table and keep everyone betting.
Do not bet the same with the same cards constantly. Your cards are open to the players as they are, like you following the players style of betting. Play games with the minds, make the odd bluff with an open end straight draw. If it comes through they might think you are a sloppy player and next time you have the winning hand and you bet large they will think "bluff" and increase your winning pot size.
Remember an Ace is only one card. One thing I notice that most good players will fold A,7 or A,9. An ace is good when followed by maybe a 10, J, Q, K and or course another Ace. People say "pot aces lead to big losses or little winning pots." If you think you are bet with pocket aces after the flop you are probably correct.
