call -

call the clock - the a player is taking to long to make a decision of a play a player can call the clock giving him a certain amount to time until his hand his declared dead

cap - the number of raises allowed in one single round of betting, usually 3 or 4 raises is the maximum allowed and some tournaments casinos remove this rule is a game of head's up

case card - known that all other cards of the same value have been dealt and looking for the last. Board shows Qd, Qh, 10c, 6s and you hold the Qs. Catching the case card Qc you win the 4 queens

cash game -

catch perfect - the dealer turns the last two cards you required to make the winning pot for maybe a royal flush or straight flush where you know you have the best possible hand

center pot - the main pot in a game of poker placed in the center on of poker table

check -

check out - if a player folds in turn when no bets have been placed

chip -

chip leader - the poker player currently holding the most chips

chip up - at a certain point in poker tournament chips of small value are exchanged for chips of a large value

chop - a spilt pot or an agreement between poker players

coffee housing - a player using word to describe his hand and giving a false idea of what he has

cold call - to call a bet after it has been raised or re-raised

cold deck -

colour up - the change small value chip for chips of a larger value

combination game - a poker table the changes the type of poker in rotation e.g. one hand of texas holdem poker, next hand is omaha, and next hand is 7 card stud poker

community card -

complete hand -

completion - to raise a weak bet to a normal size bet

connectors - a player with two or more cards of the same value

continuation bet - a player who bets after the flop and who is the same player who started the betting pre-flop

countdown - when a poker dealer counts the cards the remain in the deck after all cards have been dealt

cripple - to have an unbeatable hand after the flop e.g. play hold Ad 10d and flop shows Ah, As and 10 clubs

crying call - calling a player when you think you are going to lose

cut -

cut card - a blank or solid colour card placed at the bottom of a poker deck to prevent other players from seeing the bottom card while dealing

cutoff - the player sitting to the right of the dealer chip has a choice to cut the cards
